Halloween is hitting MTL, and the countdown to October 31 is officially on! The costumes are coming out, the candy bowls are filling up, and somewhere in Montreal, a perfectly good pumpkin is waiting to become something spooky, silly or downright spectacular. Have you carved your pumpkin yet, or are you still staring at that big orange gourd wondering where to begin?
Before you grab a knife and start improvising, check out The Great Pumpkin Carving on Sandbox World for a little Halloween inspiration. If your creative juices need a jump-start, the internet is packed with ideas for every skill level. The Pumpkin Lady offers a huge collection of free carving patterns, while HGTV's pumpkin-carving stencils are a great place to start if you want something fun without turning your kitchen into a pumpkin emergency room. Feeling ambitious? PumpkinStenciler lets you design your own jack-o'-lantern and print a stencil. And for Peanuts fans, Hallmark Canada's free Snoopy pumpkin designs offer a chance to make the Great Pumpkin proud.
Whether you go for a classic toothy grin, a creepy creature or a pop-culture masterpiece, your creation deserves a place on the Halloween porch. Just remember that the best pumpkin isn't necessarily the one with the most complicated design. Sometimes a few crooked teeth and a glowing smile do the trick. So, Montreal, let's see what you've got! Get inspired, get carving, and make your little corner of MTL glow this Halloween. #mtlholidays
